Since the year 2000, I took part in artistic and social projects. Writer of a documentary book, Les Commerces Immortels du Québec, and creator of a documentary series, I have for many years experimented a theatrical improvisation approach: Le Théâtre de nos Histoires. The lack of funerary rites shakes me; I am therefore theatrically involved in funeral commemorations and grieving groups animation. My projects are greatly motivated by the encounter of exceptional people. The year I directed the documentary about nuns was one of the most fertile of my existence. This project is the one that has fulfilled me the most. These women and places - true history survivors – and their way of understanding and expressing their lives has moved me, touched me and astonished me.
I have conducted filmed interviews on different manners of inhabiting a location. I lovingly contemplate human memories through matter. I am attracted by esthetic intelligence, I wonder about beauty and ugliness. By means of words and visual poetry, I want to create soul and to unveil the hidden gems of our identity and our roots. The last few years have been aimed towards an artistic process, including social mobilisation for our natural and manmade human patrimony.
