I was born in Paris and studied literature. In my twenty’s I decided I would become a filmmaker. I
was first hired as a film critic by several magazines (Positif, repérages, Chronicart), and became also
a script reader for Canal+.
I started directing shorts (Humaine, 2005, Refuge, 2008) which were broadcast on french tv, and
selected in many festivals in France and abroad. In 2011, I went to New York with my wife and co-director
Marie-Pierre Jaury and we both directed a documentary about the reconstruction of
Ground Zero (Memoryland, french TV Public Senat, and Japanese TV NHK). I directed another
documentary for french TV. La fumée vous dérange, 2012, Arte.
I wrote a script for long feature film, Paul et Louise, which won the Beaumarchais fund in 2016.
In 2017 I went to live in Montreal, Canada, for a year with my family, directing, among other things,
a documentary about a men talking group Paroles d’hommes.
In Montreal, I made a new short, Sunny afternoon, which I’ve completed back in France in November
2018. I started my own production company, les films de la Main gauche, based in Paris
and bound to produce shorts, documentaries, and long feature films.
