A father struggles to express his feelings as he helps his 20-year-old son moving out.

Born in Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot, Gabriel Vilandré wrote and directed the short film Le danseur, which earned him the Best Direction and Best Film awards at Fantasia Festival 2016, and was also selected for the Shoot! No matter what section at the Festival REGARD in 2016. The following summer, he received the Coup de Coeur Award at the Fantasia Festival 2017 with La petite sœur.
Le cowboy du mont Laurier has been premiered at the 2017 FNC, at the Santa Barbara Film Festival, the Nashville Film Festival and in several festivals around the world.
His last two short films, Le chapron and Le déménagement, respectively, premiered at FNC 2018 and won the REGARD 2019 Shoot! No matter what Award.
