CinePhilo - The Disaster
Excerpt
Initiated and led by the Department of Philosophy at the Cégep de Lévis-Lauzon, Cinéphilo invites students and the public to reflect on philosophical questions using film as a starting point. For this fourth public edition, Cinéphilo invests the National Assembly for the first time.
The curious are invited to explore the notion of disaster in the cinema, from four short films:
- La couleur de tes lèvres by Annick Blanc
- Nursery Rhymes by Tom Noakes
- The Flood Is Coming by Gabriel Böhmer
- Extinction éthique by Jeremy Peter Allen
No notion of philosophy is required, the desire to reflect suffices.
(NB: This activity will be held at the Quebec National Assembly; please arrive at the venue at least 20 minutes before the start of the activity to go through security. You will have to register at the reception desk and present photo ID.)
