Are you passionate about cinema and like to share your point of view? You are the person we are looking for. 

Becoming a film juror is a unique opportunity to experience your Festival differently, from the inside. From September 12 to 21, come and watch a selection of 13 films from the first works of local, national and international directors. 

Selected candidates will receive a free CinéPasse as well as an invitation to the opening night and Tapis Rouge.

1,000 Seats for a Loonie

Thanks to Ubisoft Québec, the first thousand people who place a ‘loonie’ on the ticket counter for a film of their choice during a regular session will be able to attend on the same day for only one dollar.

The Quebec City Film Festival (QFCF) presented by Quebecor and supported by Restos Plaisir is pleased to announce that Anne-Marie Laflamme, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Université Laval and Éric Amyot, Partner at BCF Avocats d'affaires will be the Honorary Presidents of the 2019 edition. The organizations of the two honorary presidents have also agreed to be partners in this important film event in Quebec City.

And the birds rained down at the QCFF

The Quebec City Film Festival (QCFF), presented by Québecor and powered by Restos Plaisir, as well as MK2 | MILE END are pleased to announce that the film And the birds rained down directed and scripted by Louise Archambault will open this 2019 edition. This film is an adaptation of Jocelyne Saucier's best-selling novel of the same name. The movie cast and crew will be present and will walk the red carpet on Thursday, September 12, 2019 to the sound of the Orchestre Symphonique de musique de film de Québec (OSMFQ). The celebrations will begin with a screening of short films in the form of an outdoor Cinéconcert at Place d'Youville accompanied by the OSMFQ and will be followed by a screening of And the birds rained down from 8 p.m. in the Raoul-Jobin room at Palais Montcalm.

Tribute to Louis Bélanger

News

This year QCFF will pay tribute to Quebec filmmaker Louis Bélanger. The exclusive screening of his new film Vivre à 100 milles à l'heure will inaugurated the cinematographic equipment of the Diamond. The director will have a special place at the festival with the projections of his classics Post-mortem (1999) and Mauvais Herbes (2016) as well as a lecture on his career.
